DIY: RX8 Cabin Filter Installation

Before u attempt to do the cabin filter replacement, please use a genuine part from Mazda to make sure the longevity of the filter.

Tool needed:
  • Genuine Cabin Filter (Part #LDY4-61-J6X)

Step 1: Prepare the new cabin filter.

Step 2: Clear the glove box.

Step 3: Press inward the point A and B so that the glove box can be loose.

Step 4: Pull out the point C outward until u hear the pop sound.

Step 5: Identify the location of the cabin filter.

Step 6: Pull out the cover of the filter.

Step 7: Simply pull out the filter and replace it with a new filter. Re-installation will be in reverse process.
